Terms of Service

Agreement

By using Terrance, you agree to these Terms of Service. Terrance is operated by Terrance AI LLC ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can be directed to help@terrance.app.

The service

Terrance is a text-based personal assistant that you interact with via SMS, iMessage, or voice call. It connects to third-party services — including Google Calendar, Gmail, and Google Tasks — on your behalf using credentials you provide.

The service is currently in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change.

SMS messaging terms

By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Terrance AI LLC, including but not limited to: service confirmations, morning briefings, reminders, follow-ups, and account notifications.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

Opt back in: Reply START to re-enable messaging.

Help: Reply HELP for assistance or email help@terrance.app.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by your usage and preferences. Terrance AI LLC is not responsible for delays in SMS delivery caused by your carrier.

Your account and responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Terrance.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs via your phone number.
• You must not use Terrance for unlawful purposes or to send spam.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, including calendar and contact data.
• You must not attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the service.

Third-party services

Terrance connects to third-party services (Google, Twilio, Anthropic) on your behalf. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability, errors, or changes.

Disclaimer of warranties

Terrance is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that actions taken on your behalf (scheduling, emailing, tasks) will be executed perfectly. Always verify consequential actions — particularly emails sent or meetings moved involving other people.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Terrance AI LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed meetings, misdirected emails, or data loss.

Termination

You may stop using Terrance at any time by replying STOP to any SMS. We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion if these terms are violated.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via SMS. Continued use of Terrance after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
